Debbie has been involved with horses since the early 1970’s. She grew up on a small hobby farm in rural Minnesota where she was very active in local 4-H and Saddle Clubs. In the early 1980’s she began college and worked at a few nationally recognized training and breeding facilities in Minnesota, Arizona and California. In 1986 she graduated with degrees in Agri-Business Management and Light Horse Management from the University of Minnesota in Waseca.

 

After graduation, she knew her career had to involve her lifelong passion for horses. So, she immediately obtained a position with McNamara Company and began selling insurance. The combination of Debbie’s love for horses and her direct involvement with them has made her a leader in the equine insurance industry. Her customers appreciate the fact that they can have one agent for all their insurance needs. Debbie has written insurance for veterinarians, charter bus companies, homebuilders, contractors, restaurants, manufacturers, golf courses and more.

 

Today, Debbie enjoys spending time with her family as they share her lifelong passion of showing and breeding horses. In fact, many of the horses she has bred or shown have gone on to be Scottsdale, Canadian and U.S. National Champions. She has won numerous Championships and Top 10 awards at the prestigious MN Arabian Horse Breeders Fall Festival, The Iowa Gold Star, The Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show, Region 10 Championships and U.S. National shows. The horse was truly Debbie’s first love and she is very lucky her husband and two children enjoy them as much as she does. Together, they own a small farm near Buffalo, Minnesota where the family vacations are planned around the horse shows.

Amanda processes all our equine related accounts from start to finish.  When applications come in she reviews them for accuracy and orders the policy.  When the policies are received, she makes certain they are sent to you in a timely manner. In addition to helping with quotes, answering billing questions and coordinating policy changes with you she can also do rate comparisons between all our companies to make sure you are getting the best product at the most competitive price.   The insurance industry is continuously changing the products offered and Amanda is a great person to discuss current trends and possible alternative product offerings with.   She is in constant contact with our underwriters all over the globe on a daily basis and can help keep you up to date on your policies.

 

In addition, Amanda graduated from Rasmussen College in 2012 with a Paralegal Degree and worked for a law firm prior to joining our team in 2017.   This career-relevant experience helped prepare her for a new position in the insurance industry where legal and ethical skills are of the utmost importance.  Amanda’s passion for helping people work through their concerns led her to pursue an insurance career where she can actively assist real people, and put their minds at ease by guaranteeing quality coverage and assistance.  (She was also a customer of ours since 2002 so she has a high degree of loyalty!)  When Amanda is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son. Some family favorites include car shows, road trips, and trying new dinner recipes. Amanda also loves photography, listening to Michael Buble, and watching the Minnesota Vikings!
